India at CWG: Day 5 schedule

In table tennis and badminton, India are defending champions and expected to clinch the gold medal. All eyes will be on Lawn Bowls, though, as the Indian quartet of Nayanmoni Saikia, Pinki, Lovely Choubey and Rupa Rani Tirkey will aim for gold. After the iconic fightback against New Zealand, the hope is plausible.

Away from this, India will have medal hopes in weightlifting again after the initial medal rush in the sport. Athletics begins on Tuesday as well with a major medal chance in Indian Commonwealth Games legend Seema Punia. Both Seema Punia and Navjeet Kaur Dhillon will be action in women’s discus throw and even a double medal can be a possibility.
