Mattia De Sciglio was forced off the pitch in the first half of Juventus-Sassuolo with knee problems.
The former Milan defender started at left-back against Sassuolo, but his game didn’t last long as he was subbed off after just 11 minutes with problems with his knee.
De Sciglio had picked up a knock to his knee minutes before being replaced by Alex Sandro.
He remained on the pitch for a few minutes, but then informed the Juventus staff that he was not able to continue the game.
De Sciglio was visibly disappointed when he left the pitch, accompanied by two Juventus staff members.
The 29-year-old has returned to Turin after a one-year loan spell at Lyon in 2020-21. He played 33 games in France, delivering three assists.
He has six appearances across all competitions so far this season, including the game against Sassuolo.
De Sciglio’s contract in Turin expires in June 2022.
