Man hit by bus outside hospital suffers serious injuries

A man who was hit by a bus outside of a Liverpool hospital has suffered serious injuries.

Merseyside Police rushed to the entrance of Fazakerley Hospital at around 6.50pm on Thursday, December 30 following reports of a crash.

Once at the scene police found a man had been hit by a bus in the hospital drop-off point located on Broadway.

The North West Ambulance Service attended to the man, who had serious injuries, and rushed him to hospital. The extent of the mans injuries is unknown.

The bus driver stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries.

Officers sealed off a section of the hospital grounds when they arrived at the scene so accident investigation carry out enquiries.

A section of Broadway remains cordoned off in both directions.
