Scott Morrison is ‘copping it from all sides’

Both Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews and Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk’s approval ratings are higher than Prime Minister Scott Morrison, according to Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell.

“That’s kind of the difficult balancing act, he’s really copping it from all sides, Morrison, in a sense, he’s set up the National Cabinet, elevated the states so he cops it from the states,” Mr Clennell told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.

“It is a difficult scenario for Scott Morrison, and I guess because he hasn’t got a government heavy in policy, that’s where you get caught in these situations.

“Scott Morrison’s found himself coming back to religious freedom legislation which is two or three years old when we resume in parliament next week.

“There’s no big idea he can latch on to and perhaps he needs one to improve his stocks.”
